- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lbs)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup pure honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 cup cornstarch (for dredging)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and pat dry.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and ground ginger to create the marinade.
- Toss the chicken in the marinade until well coated; let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Lightly coat each marinated piece in cornstarch.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the chicken until golden brown (5-7 minutes per side).
- In a separate saucepan, simmer the reserved marinade until thickened (5-10 minutes) and drizzle over the cooked chicken before serving.
