Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup whole milk (warm)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- Zest of 2 oranges
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
Instructions
- Activate the yeast: Warm milk to about 110°F, stir in sugar, and sprinkle yeast on top. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Prepare the dough: In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add melted butter and the yeast mixture; combine into a sticky dough.
- Knead: On a floured surface, knead dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- First rise: Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
Notes
- These rolls are best served warm and can be topped with a simple icing made from powdered sugar and orange juice.
