Description

A delicious raspberry sauce perfect for desserts!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces fresh raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon table salt
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Add the berries, water, sugar, and salt to a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat for 6-7 minutes or until the berries pop and release all their juices.
  2. Whisk the lemon juice and cornstarch in a small bowl until dissolved. Stir it into the berry mixture.
  3. Continue cooking and stirring for another 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  4. Remove and pour into a glass bowl. After 15 minutes, press a piece of plastic wrap directly on the surface to keep skin from forming.
  5. Once the bowl is room temperature, place it in the fridge to chill and thicken.
