Description
Delicious homemade chocolate truffles made with simple ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Pitted Dates (Soak in boiling water for easier blending)
- 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (For rich flavor)
- 1/2 cup Dark Chocolate (Opt for dairy-free for a vegan option)
- 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil (Optional; helps melt chocolate smoothly)
- Flavored Extracts (Such as raspberry, orange, or coconut)
- Toppings (Flaky sea salt, shredded coconut, or chopped nuts)
Instructions
- Soak Dates: Place pitted dates into boiling water for about 5 minutes to soften them. Drain the dates but save a bit of the soaking water for later use.
- Blend Ingredients: In a food processor, blend the soaked dates with cocoa powder and reserved soaking water until smooth.
- Chill Batter: Scoop the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and shape it into small balls or drops. Freeze for 10 minutes.
- Melt Coating: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate and coconut oil. Heat in short intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Shape Truffles: Roll the chilled batter into balls, dip each into melted chocolate, and place back on parchment. Add toppings right away.
- Final Chill: Return the coated truffles to the freezer for another 5 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
