A delicious cake made with fresh cherries and sour cream.

- 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
- Wash and pit the cherries; slice them in half if desired.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
- In a large bowl, beat sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Add sour cream and vanilla; mix well.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet mixture until just mixed. Gently fold in cherries.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool slightly before serving.
