Description

A delightful berry vanilla trifle made with layers of pudding, cream, and fresh mixed berries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cups angel food cake, cubed
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate shavings (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until smooth. Let it sit for about five minutes to thicken.
  2. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until combined.
  3. Cut the angel food cake into bite-sized cubes.
  4. Layer the dessert: start with cake cubes at the bottom of clear glasses, add a layer of pudding mixture, then a layer of mixed berries. Repeat layers until glasses are full.
  5. Top each trifle with whipped cream and sprinkle chocolate shavings on top.
  6. Chill for at least one hour before serving to let flavors meld.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh mixed berries.
  • Chilling the trifle allows the flavors to marry beautifully.
